Cone Beam 3D CT Scan
At Allied Endodontics we strive to offer the latest in endodontic technology which is why we offer 3D imaging in our clinic. Our Cone beam 3D CT scan provides a 3-dimensional view that can aid your endodontist in diagnosing conditions that are not clearly visible in traditional 2-dimensional dental x-rays.
Digital Radiography
Digital radiography is a form of x-ray imaging, where digital x-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film. Advantages include time efficiency through bypassing chemical processing and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images. Also, significantly less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography.
Microscopes
Microscopes provide the best visualization and illumination of the interior of your tooth, enabling your endodontist to explore for very small or calcified root canals, removal of obstructions, and evaluation of cracks.
Ultrasonic Technology
Ultrasonic Technology is used in conjunction with microscope aided visualization to remove calcifications or other blockages inside the tooth that impede access to the root canals. These instruments are also used during surgical procedures to clean the root tips in a very conservative manner.
Rotary Instrumentation
Innovative engine-driven rotary systems and nickel-titanium alloy instruments have replaced stainless steel. Greater flexibility and resistance to fracture in these advanced files allow the endodontist to more effectively clean and shape the root system.
Apex Locators
Apex locators are electronic instruments used to determine the working length and endpoint of the root canal. This cutting-edge technology has a clinical accuracy rate of over 96% which is unaffected by the presence of blood, saliva or electrolytes and allows the endodontist to fill the root system to within 0.5mm of the root apex.
